Manchester Jazz Festival Originals Commission | 2022- 2023

Created as a new piece for 2022’s Manchester Jazz Festival Originals Commission,

this release fuses electronica, keys, saxophone, guitar, accordion and male vocal to create ‘gothic jazz’.

​​

Fountainia explores the waterways and decorative features of Manchester, and Ruby’s connection to these spaces in her home city.  In this sonic dream space, huge bird people stalk canals, gargoyles drink from fountains and journeys are made to celestial pools where we swim with manatees under pink skies.
